Sashiko made easy
You will receive two versions: DUTCH and ENGLISH.
Sashiko is a centuries-old embroidery technique from Japan, originally used for
repairing and reinforcing clothing when yarn and fabric were still spun and woven by hand. The sashiko stitch is perfect for decorating fabric and there are countless patterns that have been created over the centuries.
Our Digital Sashiko Pattern Set comprises of 50 repeat patterns that you can use for your sashiko projects. The Sashiko in this set is called moyouzashi (pattern sashiko). All patterns are derived from or inspired by classic sashiko designs. All are thoughtfully constructed to be truly repeatable.
For each repeat pattern we provide you with a clear grid based design, sewing instructions and a stitch-by-stitch template that you can print out and transfer direct to fabric with the use of carbon copy paper.
Choose to either draw out the design yourself following our instructions or simply trace our stitch-by-stitch template directly onto fabric as required. You will receive 2 versions: as spreads to read online and as pages to print out.
Sashiko just got a whole lot easier! Have fun!
